Jiří Thýn

Jiří Thýn (b. 1977, Prague) is a Czech photographer, visual artist and educator. He studied in Pavel Štecha’s photography studio at UMPRUM in Prague (1999–2005). He was nominated for the Jindřich Chalupecký Award in 2011 and 2012. From 2014 to 2018 he headed the Studio of Post-Conceptual Photography at the Department of Photography at FAMU. His works are held in the collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague and the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.
