Matyáš Maláč
Matyáš Maláč (b. 1997) is a Prague-based painter and visual artist studying at AVU (Academy of Fine Arts in Prague). His work combines classical painting techniques with the energy of graffiti, creating a distinctive visual language that oscillates between tradition and contemporary aesthetics.
Besides painting, he works in drawing and sculpture and in curating through the experimental platform Proto Gallery Systems (PGS). Thematically, he deals with questions of free will, the limits of identity from digital, political, environmental and posthuman perspectives, and the blurred transition between mental health and madness in an accelerated modern reality.
He took part in the 11th edition of the UFF festival (2021), themed damn plan. Together with Olbram Pavlíček and Vojtěch Novák, he is one of the co-founders of the PGS platform, whose name was also used for the group exhibition PGS associates and quickies at Šatlava.
