Pavel Šuráň
Pavel Šuráň is a curator and artist based in Olomouc. He is the founder and curator of the alternative exhibition space Galerie HROB in Olomouc (founded on December 30, 2015, together with Radim Scholaster), which operates on a site-specific basis and is devoted to contemporary and funerary art with an ironic undertone.
He is also involved in running Galerie XY in Olomouc. Since March 2019, Adéla Chorá has been part of the HROB curatorial team alongside him.
At the 11th edition of the UFF festival (2021), he took part with the theme damn plan. An interesting connection: the collective pseudonym Hrob used at the 2021 edition (Cáb, Orlická, Ševčíková) may refer to Šuráň’s Olomouc gallery Galerie HROB.
