About the author

Aimee Zia Hasan

Aimee Zia Hasan is a young artist, painter, and musician originally from London, now living in Zlín. She graduated in applied painting from the School of Applied Arts in Uherské Hradiště and is currently studying in Painting Studio 1 at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology. In her work, Aimee explores contextual human interaction, the personification of objects, and environmental influences. She also examines themes of existence, essence, and the organic. Most of her visual work consists of oil paintings, but Aimee also enjoys experimenting with other media and techniques. These themes run through her visual art as well as her music and poetry. As a vocalist, composer, and lyricist, Aimee has an eclectic and organic creative style. Her songs, a synthesis of her own poetry, atmospheric musical composition, and playful vocals, are marked by genre experimentation and transcendence.
