About the authors
Elsa Rauerová is a visual artist working with photography, site-specific installations, video, and textiles. She studied at the Studio of Advertising Photography at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications, Tomas Bata University in Zlín. In her work she explores the performative expression of clothing and pushes the boundaries of photography toward other media such as painting, objects, and video. She has exhibited at venues including the experimental gallery Komnata in Zlín.
Matěj Skalický is a Czech photographer whose work develops through long-term projects. He captures seemingly banal scenes of urban life, and his work has been shown in galleries and at festivals in the Czech Republic. His projects include the series Dopamine Fasting, Zahrada Epikurova (The Garden of Epicurus) and Sedět u ohně a kouřit (Sitting by the Fire and Smoking). He has been published in Fotograf Magazine.
