Jan Brož: SSSSSS (presentation, curated by Jan Zálešák)

Saturday presentation of the project and publication SSSSSS by Jan Brož (UMPRUM, Parallel Practice studio) in collaboration with curator Jan Zálešák at Muzeum baroka. Devoted to late capitalism and the 24/7 regime, the presentation also served as an invitation to the ongoing exhibition of the same name in Brno.

About the authors

Jan Brož

Jan Brož (b. 1988) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts (AVU) in Prague. In 2013 he founded the studio Parallel Practice with Michal Landa. In collaboration with curator Jan Zálešák, he seeks to grasp, through the language of visual art, today’s world of late capitalism, the 24/7 regime, and manic productivity.

Jan Zálešák

Jan Zálešák (1979) works in the theory and curating of contemporary art. At the festival he gave a talk on projective archaeology — on artists from the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia whose work is remarkable for the ways it uses photography as a source for (re)constructing individual and collective memory.
