Lucia L. Fišerová: author reading

Poet, photographer, educator, picture editor, curator. A laborer of words. She comes from Bratislava, where she studied art history. She has long been concerned with the photographic image and the forms of its presentation in exhibitions and books. She lectures in the Photography studio at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. Her first poetry collection, S přesností nasekat astry (To Cut Asters with Precision), was published by HOST in late 2025.

At the center of her interest lies above all the relationship between text, image, spirituality, and corporeality. With her poems she tries to illuminate what she could not keep silent through photography. For her, they are an alternative path to the image. Yet she wants only to pass through it, too.

Her gardens are full of sentences.
