Exhibition: Tomáš Pospěch: Šumperák – Ztráta plánu
The exhibition Šumperák – Ztráta plánu (Šumperák – Loss of Plan) by Tomáš Pospěch was presented at the 10th edition of Fotofestival Uničov, themed Přístřeší (Shelter). Reflecting on the individual’s relationship to architecture and living space, the exhibition took place at the Městská galerie (Town Gallery, Masarykovo nám. 29) and opened on Friday, July 17, 2020, at 17:00.
About the author
In his work, Tomáš Pospěch (1974) offers a new perspective on found photographic archives. At the festival he presented, among other things, a project based on slides of the Agrokombinát Slušovice agricultural conglomerate, made between 1978 and 1989 by Zlín advertising photographer Jan Regal. Placed in a new context, the photographs lose nothing of what they actually depict, but they newly offer a comparison of further layers of the image, in which we can follow the various systems of representation and promotional strategies used when they were created.
