Pavel Příkaský (b. 1985, Mariánské Lázně) is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. His work uses photography with its media-specific qualities, fragments, series, and installations. He works with photography as a starting material, including its defects — fading, blurring, overlapping motifs, and overexposure. Through this approach he comments not only on the properties of photography but also on our oversaturation with images in everyday life. He has exhibited in Prague, London, Lyon, Rio de Janeiro, and at the Moscow International Biennale for Young Art.
