The opening of Robert Buček’s exhibition Blaho, byt at Šatlava – Muzeum vězeňství, accompanied by a screening of the short documentary Čtyřicetkrát sochařem (Forty Times a Sculptor).
About the author
Robert Buček (b. 1979, Uherské Hradiště) is a Czech sculptor and ceramicist. He studied at the Sculpture Studio of the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Ostrava, and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. From 2007 to 2012 he worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Sculpture at the University of Ostrava, and since 2014 he has headed the Ceramics Studio at the Department of Art Education, Faculty of Education, Palacký University Olomouc. He works with wood, ceramics, stone and concrete, incorporating found natural and utilitarian objects.
