Nela Britaňáková
Nela Britaňáková (b. 1995) is a visual artist and a graduate of the Ceramics and Porcelain Studio at UMPRUM under Maxim Velčovský (BcA, 2016–2019).
She works primarily with installations and standalone objects, often including video installation. Her work responds to plant aesthetics and environmental themes — her bachelor’s thesis drew on the legacy of Helena Johnová, founder of the ceramics studio. In 2020 she was a finalist of Jiné vize CZ. She exhibits regularly at Berlínskej Model and other Prague galleries.
At the 11th edition of the UFF festival (2021), her film (made with Anežka Abrtová) was screened at Kino Družba as part of the Sunday film program.
